Mounting screen - minimum height from floor?

I'm going to be mounting the screen for my media room tomorrow and based on my calculations, I could theoretically go as low as 20" without obstructing the view for persons in the 2nd row (12" height drop from 1st to 2nd row). However, I feel that would probably be a little "too" low. I don't want anyone to crane their neck looking up at the screen, so I'd like to keep it as low as possible without feeling awkward. Does anyone have any general guidelines they follow when mounting these?

The screen is 106" and the dimensions are 52x92"

First row is 13' away, second row is 21' away

Thanks!

I’m sure there are some standards and mathematical equations for minimum height and so forth but I think to some degree it’s personal preference. When I go to a theater I like to sit in the middle, both horizontally and vertically. I what my eyes dead center of the screen, but that’s me. I’d have to measure but I think mine is about 22” off the floor. I wouldn’t go a low as 20” if you have the room to move it up a few inches.

I've read that standard practice is 33% of the screen should be below eye level of the main seats. So if your eyes are at ~40" from the ground, I would put the screen somewhere between 20"-25" from the floor.

Mock it up. I'm an engineer and like to design things, but sometimes you just gotta 'field test' things. Sounds okay to me, personally

The bottom of my screen is 20" above the floor, and it's perfect for me. BUT we just have one row of seating. That sounds too low though if your second row is on a 12" riser.

Ok it sounds like 22" might be a safe bet, but I like the idea of mocking it up first as well. I guess there's no harm in just holding the screen in place and testing. Didn't get a chance to mount today as I was busy running wires through the spray foam insulation (harder than I thought it would be), and installing an additional outlet for the projector. And I STILL have 1 more trip I need to make to Home Depot...................
