No sound coming out of my Sub

I'm not getting any sound coming out of my powered sub.

Here is a little bit about my setup. I have a Pioneer Elite SC-63 receiver. I have 2 Bowers and Wilkins (683) Floor standing speakers, Bowers and wilkins center channel (HTM61), and 2 in ceiling Bowers and Wilkins. I am bi-amping my 2 floor speakers. I have all my speakers set to small and my sub set to yes. Ran the advance mcacc and still get no sound out of the sub. Crossover is set to 80hz on my reciever. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way when I plug and unplug my sub I get the bass feedback and then it goes away.

Plug the sub cable into one of the other RCA pre-outs like the L/R channel. If you put your ear to the sub do you get any sound? It will be very low, but your should be able to hear some of the signal of the L/R channel getting through. If not, there may be a problem with your sub. If you do hear sounds coming from it, then there may be a problem with the sub channel pre-out on the receiver or the receiver is not set correctly.

Yeah I do get a very low sound coming out of the reciever.

It is possible that the rca cable going from your receiver to your subwoofer has gone bad. You could try another cable.

Another check. Plug an mp3- or dvd-player directly into the subwoofer in. Make sure that your turn down the volume. If you get sound (somewhat loud), then you know there is either an issue with your subwoofer out on the avr or the rca cable.

Finally got the chance to run a few tests. I have 3 subs inputs on my reciever. (2 subs for main zone and 1 for zone 2) Looks like one sub input is working and the other is not for the 1st zone. I simply plugged in my sub to the other input and is now workin fine.
