Hi Guys,

I would like to add a masking to the upper border when using cinemascope ratio, the white above the picture drives me crazy...
I have a manual pull down screen.

I wan to add something simple, easy to deploy, easy to remove, was thinking of some black cloth hold in the side with some clip, will it hold properly? has anyone done something like this before?

adding some pictures:

Get a Roller Blind, paint it "Disney Color - Mouse Ears" black (spray).

Probably your best best considering your stuck with a 4:3 screen.

I want to have the option of 16:9 (without masking) - still, my main content is 16:9, so painting it won't work

You can't project a 196:9 image on a 4:3 pull down screen without masking. The cloth idea you have is a mask and can be held in place with binder clips. A little more elegant solution may be found here: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1083120/40-diy-yardstick-frame-masking-system-for-pull-down-screens

Sorry, it should be 16:9 (not 169:9)

or 196:9
