JL Audio F113... Dilema... add another F113 or sell and get 2 x SVS SB13-ultra or PB13-ultra

Let me clarify...

I have the F113 for several years and I'm very happy with it... I even brought it with me to europe when I moved...

Now to get a second F113 it is ridiculously expensive.... I just found a used one for 2500 euro( $3325) in a different european country....

I have no way to see it in person... If I were to purchase one new and import it would cost over 5k with tarifs etc

So there is where my dilema begins... Do I get a second F113....

or do I sell mine and get 2x SVS subs that are new. for 4k.....so I'd break even money wise if i sold mine for 1.5k ...meaning it will probably be a little cheaper to own the SVS pair...

I know there are many people that swear by one or the other brand...

With the loss of Ikka reviews... I havent seen any new comparisons of the new SVS subs compared with the F113.

I listen to music and watch movies 50/50 and I listen to electronic music.

I appreciate your feedback.

as far as feed back goes. just heard the a svs sb13 ultra... its ok. in a 1500 cu/ft room it just did not deliver the way i thought it would, and even dual sb13-u's (in my honest opinion) might disappoint you if you are already running a F113. be honest, the F113 is a great sub.

you might want to talk to funk audio about their shipping rates, even if its just to shop and compare.
he ships global all the time, and for good reason. his stuff is amazing.

Please refrain from suggesting other brands/setups... please stay on topic.

I'm leaning on staying JL and just getting a second...

The JL113 is a more powerful sub than the SVS, so you'd be better off just adding a second one.

Some reviews of the F113 and PB13-Ultra (the large ported not the small sealed) with the original BASH amp in it found the output to be pretty close between them until you get near the port tuning of the PB13. With that in mind, it is going to have a lot more output than the SB13-Ultra below 40hz. If you are looking for more output, and have the room, I'd vote for two of the ported Ultra's if the costs worked out. Otherwise, I'd stick with another Fathom. The sealed Ultra's are getting a lot of very good reviews but the Fathom is a step up (as it should be for its price).
