Revo RL70 can't Power on/off with supplied Remote

I'm trying to use a remote contol to power off the RL70. The instuctions with the suppliied WMC remote say the red button is to put the RL70 to sleep (?), it does do that, but then I can't wake the device up (unless I unplug it)?

I have also setup a Harmony 300 for the RL70 but when I press the poer off button nothing happens.

Does anyone know what's up with this??

With supplied remote, in sleep mode, did press each key on the remote to see if it awakens it?

No I didn't, I just pressed power/sleep button, plus the mouse and keyboard,

That's a good idea though, I'l give it a shoot and see what happens.

Although I think it may be something deeper as I have issues with the Harmony remote too?.

The key is usually setting the IR device to wake on the PC in device manager power options and possibly in the BIOS (it's usually named HID something). So any button should wake, if you have it set up properly. You should do all your testing with the original remote, then tackle your other harmony issues later.

@mDaveJ

Thanks for that advice it fixed it biggrin.gif.

So, under Device Management and then under HID, I had three "Consumer Control Device" entries. Two of them had "Power Management" tabs and I checked "allow this device to wake the computer" in both. Then, after a power off/on I am now able to wake up the computer with the supplied MS eHome remote cool.gif.

I'm assume the two CCDs I checked were the keyboard and mouse?, and the third CCD was labeled MS eHome (which I would have thought was the Remote - still worked though?).

Anyway, I can now Sleep and Wakeup the Revo with my MS eHome remote. Any thoughts on getting the Harmony to turn everything off and on?.
