Lots of questions on DIY 2:35 screen and lens

I'm looking for the best fabric to use for my screen . I read on a other thread that milliskin spandex Is good but I'm looking for high gain, for a fair amount of ambient light and how do I go about measuring for my screen ? I am between 12'-14' feet back from screen . Now for lens questions . I have heard I can use a camcorder lens 58mm x7 HD wide angle lens I seen this done on youtube I dont know if he replaced the lens in the Epson 3020 or if he attached it some how and removed the old lens , is that possible? I can't afford the $1200 panamorphic lens the method i was looking at cost between $70-$250.If this is true how do I go about removing the old lens ands installing a new one. I'll post a link on the video I seen but the guy didn't show how he did it.
