Companies usually hire others to do that so if it blows up they can just say they had no idea. (Like the astroturfing, all on the PR firm doing it, not Microsoft who hired them)
If Cboat was busted and they discovered his logon in his seized computer they could have easily used it to post whatever they want. They could even use that same computer to do it from the same ip address.
