Funny story, I began my home search looking for a basement with a nice house attached to it to finally get working on the 10+ year home theater dream. Ended up building our dream home for twice our innitial budget. Funny how that works, now all the money that will be going towards the theater will be a bargin in comparrison. The wife gets her dream home upstairs and I get my theater down stairs. I'd say thats fair. Best of luck with your build! Subscribed!

Joe

I look forward to your thread!

Hey Warren,

Thanks for the offer. I might just take you up on that if you ever make it up to the Denver area. I live just east of downtown Denver (Stapleton).

UPDATE:

So, as promised, here are some of my latest pics.

This is my first staggered stud wall ready to go up.smile.gif

Here is the first wall of my theater! biggrin.gif (This is the wall that is directly behind my screen. It will have the LCR speakers mounted in it, as well as both subs)

More to come soon!

Hey All,

Does anyone out there know where I can find the "metallic banding" in the picture below? (in between the acoustical panels)

Thanks!

Hey Tim,

Welcome to the site, and hello from Parker, CO!

Thanks for checking out my build thread, I'll be keeping track of yours as well. I envy your patience to take on a majority of the work yourself wink.gif I definitely agree with your choice to sub out the drywall. I'd consider the SeymourAV CenterStage XD material for your screen. I've ordered my screen from Jamestown and it should be shipping in another week or so. Once I get it I can let you know how it stacks up.
