Need speakers for denon 1612

I recently purchased a Denon 1612. I need a good speaker set 5.0+sub or 5.1 or maybe even seperates. I'm looking for around the $250 range.
I have ran across the Difinitive Tech Procinema 60.6 5.1 and the Energy take classic 5.1
I can get the ProCinema 5.1 at $245 shipped off ebay, or go 5.0 for $170 shipped and add a subwoofer.
OR Energy Take Classic 5.0 for $195 shipped + Add a sub.
Which out of the two would you choose for this AVR??? Any other suggestions? THANKS!

You can get the Procinema 60 for a lot cheaper than $250.

I take it you only want satellite size speakers? then again you're not gonna get 5 larger speakers for $250.

Is there a difference between the 60.6 system and the 60 or is it the same thing?

I see the sub with the procinema 60 only takes RCA connectors. How would I hook this up to my Denon 1612??

There is a subwoofer pre-out to hook up to. Read the manual of the Denon avr-1612 cover to cover and the manual with the speakers it will teach you this and alert you how to properly set up your system

Subwoofer pre-out on back of AVR to the LFE connection on the back of the sub??? I haven't bought these speakers yet either.

Easier question is what cables do I need to achieve this method?

Set the bass management system of your receiver or decoder for “Large Left
and Right Main Speakers,” “Small Center” and “Small Rear Surround
Speakers” and “No Subwoofer.” All the bass information including the .1
channel LFE signal will be directed to the main left and right channels and into
the subwoofer giving you all the benefits of Dolby Digital.

Here is the back of my receiver:

Buy yourSelf a subwoofer cable http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10236&cs_id=1023603&p_id=2682&seq=1&format=2 connect one end to the LFE port on the subwoofer and connect the other end subwoofer pre-out.

Here is the manual to the Denon AVR-1612, http://usa.denon.com/DocumentMaster/US/Owners%20Manual_AVR1612.pdf please read it cover to cover it tells you exactly how to hook everything up with step by step instructions how to properly set it up as well as calibrate the speaker set for your room

Thanks for your help! I have read the DTs manual and am expecting the denon1612 in the mail today so I will read that tonight. My only concern right now is how to setup and tweak my settings to get the right sounds.. Hopefully the AVRs manual will help me out with that!

The manual recommends for method 1(hooking up L and R fronts to Sub) to Set the bass management system of your receiver or decoder for “Large Left and Right Main Speakers,” “Small Center” and “Small Rear Surround Speakers” and “No Subwoofer.” All the bass information including the .1 channel LFE signal will be directed to the main left and right channels and into the subwoofer giving you all the benefits of Dolby Digital. I hope everything works out ok!

I have the AVR-1613 and the Def Tech Pro Cinema 60. It's a great budget satellite system.

Read the Denon XX12 thread and the DefTech ProCinema 600/800/1000 (60/80/100) thread. All you need to know is contained in there.

I have no sound coming from my subwoofer... I posted my problem on a current thread where the user was having the same problem. Maybe you can help me with this issue?
