Good afternoon. I was hoping not to have to post but I cant get this licked.
Brief Background:
HTPC hardware - ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M; Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge; Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 replacing with Ceton InfiniTV 4
Remote: Haromony 1.
IR reciever - what ever comes with the WinTV-HVR 2250
Software: Win7, WMC with Media browser. Using MPC - HC for movie playback (for subtitles), just recently added MadVR (still no idea what im doing with that though)
Problem: Somehow, my system is no longer recognizing Media Center SE commands, It still recognizes Media Ceter MCE keyboard just fine.
My hands are tied without the se keyboard though, i cant use "back" and play/pause/ff/rw are all dorked up. I have kinda "fixed" the issue with by using the options in MPC to remap some keys but thats a bandaide as it doesnt carry over to the rest of WMC or to TMT for Blu ray playing.
I have played with Event Ghost; MCE Remote plus (but i really dont know what im doing with either) and tried a 101 different Harmony "devices" but I cant get the functionality back.
I read somewhere that the HVR - 2250 IR may be a problem, im planning on switching to the InfiniTV4 here next week and getting a different IR reciever.

Does anyone have any clue why my Media Center SE commands are not working?
Next as far as IR recievers, i see Assasin has
HP IR Receiver
and
the FLIRC listed. but i know the AsRock MOBO supporst CIR, so im wondering if this CIR Receiver for ASRock Motherboards wouldnt be better?
I know ther eare many forum posts on the reicevers, but this tech changes over time so much and there seems to be a ton of debate on it.. .
any help would be great

Sorry I forgot, I also have a Logitech K700 and 400 keyboard , using the 700 but the unifying dongle is plugged in as well, i dont know if its causing interferance somehow or not.
