Just Scan is greyed out

I run my tv through a Onkyo reciever and a Verizon fios set top box. Why is Just Scan greyed out? I have an LG 55lw5600 running through an Onkyo reciever connected to a Fios set top box. Is this happening because I am using an AVR?

Bypass the AVR and test FiOS box connected directly to the TV to find out. wink.gif
