Just got my new (old) sony kv14 LT1U, can't seem to save geometry changes

I found the geometry was annoying me for playing my sega saturn, so i put it into service menu and i adject the screen positioning to suit my eyes better...

Every forum i've read says you adjust the number to what you want, then you press mute then enter. My original remote doesn't have an enter button

it looks like this

this is the default screen on service mode entry

and this is the screen i altered geometry on

I seem to be at a loose end as what to do. spent like an hour or 2 trying different things like mute and 0 or mute and then OK button but nothing seems to save the settings

Do a search for the service manual. If you can find it, it will tell you what to do.
How about the buttons on the TV itself, is there an enter there?
When you press mute does the word WRITE appear in RED? If so then try every other button to make write turn from RED to Yellow. If you have done this already good luck finding the manual, I could not fine one!

i've been struggling to find a manual all day, it must be alterable, and i have the original remote

just baffling me so much

so you're saying changes should be seen as "write" and that goes from red to yellow? hmm ill give it a go

tried all buttons, only visible change buttons
standby is off
the screen button removes all changes and goes back to normal mode
menu button goes to a screen with green text all over the screen, and removes any changes, pressing menu again reverts to options for geometry etc

nothing seems to suggest writing, a similar model tv with the same remote, just bigger's manual says to make changes, then press menu and switch off to prevent further altering, but afaik, theres always a button to press to write changes so to just make sure it's a wanted change :s

The "Enter" button is usually below the "9" and to the right of "0".
The button below the "7" and to the left of "0" is usually "Jump (channel)".
