Need help calibrating Samsung TV 32ES5500

Hi guys,

I just bought my 32' ES5500 Samsung TV and I'm trying to get it calibrated, i've read the patterns manual and i've done a little calibration but im stuck, would appreciate someone who has more knowledge to help me out. Been at this for a few days now and im about to lose my mind lol.

Okay, my current setup goes like this,
PC - Component - TV
PS3 - HDMI - TV

I have done the calibration for my PC input and the settings are as follows

Picture Mode: Movie
Backlight: 19
Contrast: 90
Brightness: 45
Sharpness: 25
Color: 60
Tint (G/R): G49/R51

Picture Size: Screen Fit
Dynamic Contrast Off
Gamma: 0
Color Tone: Standard

All other settings are default.

I'm not sure if the videos (720p MKV) im watching are in the right colour, esp their skin. they look slightly pink. if someone can perhaps check if i have the right settings? My nVidia video card is set to output "Limited"

Also, im trying to calibrate my PS3. I'm streaming the AVS HD 709 .MP4 over PS3 Media Server and when I play the APL Clipping or White Clipping, the ps3 fails to show the entire range of white levels. I'm not even able to see "234" flashing and "235" (Reference White) is just white. All other levels above 235 are white, I'm unable to see the flashing. I've read in the .PDF that the PS3 does this and to correct this to set the Super White to ON. Which I have already done. But I'm still unable to see all other levels above 235 flash.

The PS3 Display Settings are set to
RGB Full Range - FULL
Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr Super White - ON
Deep Colour Output - ON

TV HDMI Black Level is set to Normal

How do i continue calibrating my TV for my PS3 and why arent the other levels showing up? confused.gif

If your ps3 is connected with hdmi, why are you streaming the patterns? You can burn the avchd version and play it like a bluray.
