Dennon 2112ci settings

I have a Dennon 2112ci. have a Direct TV box and a PS3 running in, and out to LED and Polk 70's, CS2 center and Polk 505 sub. Whats the best settings for the reciever and the speakers? New to this so not sure, but when my son plays NBA on the PS3 the bass shakes the house, but when I'm watching a movie or TV it is meh. Any help would be great.

Run Audyssey using the tips suggested in the Audyssey 101/FAQ Guide linked in my sig. The most common surround mode used would be DD PLII - Cinema for non-HD channels and Dolby Digital for HD channels using DD 5.1. Make sure your DTV box has Dolby Digital enabled.
