Oppo BDP-93 & Dredd 3D playback issues

Has anyone else experienced playback issues of the 3D version of Dredd?

This isn't the retail copy (I assume), but a copy that I rented from Redbox over the weekend. My BDP-93 is running the latest firmware.

I was able to play the 2D version no problem, but the 3D version locked up the player.

Sorry if this has already been discussed as this movie has been out for quite awhile now, but a search found nothing related to this. I've also emailed Oppo support, but haven't heard anything back yet.

I'm just a bit surprised because in 2 years of owning the BDP-93 this is the closest thing I've ever had to a "problem".
