WTB Demarcation Enclosure?

I'm in a new house and the demarc enclosure is crap. Its too small to hold all of my equipment, so I'm wondering what are some good alternatives. The way I have everything duct taped isn't gonna work anymore biggrin.gif Or would it be better to build around the exisiting enclosure?

"Demarc enclosure"? Isn't that name pretty much dedicated to a telecom provider's ISDN/MPLS/T1 end-point on your premises?

Are you talking about a rack?

I suspect the OP wants a structured wiring enclosure. The demarcation box is the ox (typically outside) where wiring from your service provider ends, and your internal wiring begins. Its typically to small for anything beyond a splitter.

I have one of these, it's a pretty nice enclosure, if you can get your stuff in it (they make larger ones).

That said, if you're like a lot of us here (me) and have a lot of hardware, I'd seriously consider getting a rack:

I got an SRSR for my HT, it's pretty nice/slick, though I think I want one for my media server and assorted related components as well.

^ That's great ....smile.gif my wiring from all my LAN jacks and alarm system run back into my bedroom closet, at least that's the way they do it down here in Texas:) The provided box is too small and my equipment won't fit and I plan on expanding. Thanks for the help guys!

I used a box like stanger suggested to provide a place for all the wiring to exit, and mounted a small upright rack on the wall for the patch panel and switch.
