I saw something weird today while using the Windows 7 Media Center version of Netflix.
My wife was streaming something, and was telling me that she couldn't use the remote to pause it. So I hooked up a mouse and the display looked exactly like the Windows 8 Netflix app! That was kind of weird, because I don't have Windows 8 on that computer.
Anyway, we went out to dinner, and when we came back it was back to the normal Windows 7 Media Center Netflix interface.
On one hand, I think that is cool, because the Windows 8 Netflix is supposed to be much better at streaming (no stuttering) because it doesn't use Silverlight. I would welcome this, as sometimes Netflix is almost unwatchable from the stuttering. But, on the other hand, the Windows 8 Netflix interface doesn't accept remote control once you start playing the movie.
I wonder if was a flip-of-the-switch error, or if this something they are planning to roll out?
