Spacing wall washers over a screen

Trying to position 3 wall washers over a 115" diag screen (110" wide). I've placed one directly over the center. Any suggestions on how far from the center I should place the other 2??

Do you have the ability to place them, test them and then move them? I think a lot of it has to do with the type of bulb you are using, the light pattern it will emit and how far off the screen they are. I used floods in 4 inch cans centered about a foot from the screen. I placed one in the center and then split the difference to the sides for my almost 8' wide screen. Looks fine to me.

Thanks Tom, sometimes we overlook the obvious. I'll hang a sheet up and see how it looks!

My advice would be: Divide the screen width into 3 equal sections, and center up a light on each third of the screen. For example, on a 12 foot wide screen, one light at 2', one at 6' and one at 10'.

call m crazy but on a 12 foot screen wouldn't 3/6/9 make more sense? that would be "even" where you rmodel would have 2ft on the sides and 4 feet in the "middle"?

3/6/9 spacing would evenly space the fixtures, but not their light output. 2/4/10 spacing delivers a more equal amount of light to each third of the screen.

I did as you suggest on my last theatre, and it still bugs me when I look at the way the light is distributed.

thanks!- makes sense - i was thinking the even 2ft light spread per side would look more consistent but can't decide if the layout would annoy me.
