I know they had a firmware update for HTC phones, but that doesn't do me anygood. Anybody know of anything?

You should be able to use Samsung's AllShare app which should have been on your phone when you got it. It was on both mine and my girlfriend's Galaxy S2's and our Galaxy Tab 10's.

Have you gone to Google Play and checked, should be something there. I have a galaxy LTE and have had no trouble getting apps for my denon and Yamaha, my oppo bd player etc.
