Question about my New Sony ES50 and Black Diamond zero Edge

I had my new Sony ES50 installed today along with Black Diamond Zero Edge Screen with LED kit. The screen size is 100 inch. My room size is 13 by 17. My first row is 12 feet away from screen and second row around 14. I am noticing while watching older style movies such as Jurasic park and matrix to be "artifacts" I also noticed while watching TV source from dish network. Its hard to explain but looks kinda fuzzy at times in certain places. 3D blue ray looks fantastic, but notice also some with blue ray non 3d movies. Not sure what to call the artifacts I am seeing or if doing something wrong or in need of higher end projector. I was hoping to watch some older DVD's with better playback. In a total dark room as well.

Any suggestions

As a side note as you get closer to the screen the picture looks kinda fuzzy. Never had a projector before so not sure if this is normal or what

However I notice when the RC is off it kinda smooth things out and not as noticeable. Just seems like on certain parts of screens will see some artifact. Kinda hard to explain. For example last night when watching Leno when his head would be over certain part of screen would see, but switch to another network would not be noticeable when person over that area?? First time with projector so not sure if have lots of settings right.

It is a 1.4 gain and was wondering if it wasnt the screen. It almost looks to occur in the same area at times. I do notice more on light subject matter. I know that sounds crazy. I have no real ambient lite in the room unless turing on sconces or opening the doors. Screen inovations recommended the 1.4 gain. Was that incorrect?? I did notice that the RC does have some dramatic effect and does lesson some of the issues, but that looks more like Noise reduction stuff that blurrs the photo.
