Rear projection in car

I've got a hatchback, and I found this rear projection laminate that you could put on windows. It made me think, and I want to make my rear window into a rear projected monitor so that I can send messages out the back for cars to read etc. The laminate is $90 a square foot for the clear type, and i was hoping on maybe either keeping the window tinted or having something that was semi transparent, but thats not a must. I want to know if I could get a projector that would be visible from other cars in the daylight, and fill just the window space from the short distance of inside of the car. I've already tackled power sources etc, but I know very little about projection. Also, I was hoping do do something similar to make my front windshield display the same way as the new BMW X6.

I've got voice control and I'll be using a new technology called "leap" motion capture to control the displays. All I need is info about the projection side of things... Required lumins, angles and distances, projector sizes (obviously I want something small yet powerful as possible) I've got about 5 grand for my project, but if I can cut it down, a goal would be 2 grand

Hi. This is more then possible, I would recommend that you use what I did, here is a link to the rear projection film that will cost you much less then $90 per sq. foot. Although the clear film is enticing you will not want to use that as it is tough to compete with direct sunlight and you will need to deal with the heavy light transmittance unless of course you desire to see out of the rear window???
As for a projector I would recommend the brightest your money can buy, I bought the new hybrid projector they recommended that has extremely long life and is super tiny.

I can tell you that this is possible and you can easily make it a reality, the best recommendation is that you clarify your objectives before you start.

Good luck

Should you have tinted windows if you're going to watch rear projection TV in your car?
