Thanks tgm, all that stuff in the eco settings is turned off, as well as the advanced settings. The only one thats on is Adv. Contrast Enhancer is set to low. I tried it on off with no luck. I have the old DVE dvd but I hated the navigation system on it, so I bought the WOW 2 disc.
I have the panasonic BDT210 Blu-ray player. I had to go into the picture setting and set it to user and adjusted the contrast to +2 with the TV Picture set to 96 I was able to get ideal white, or +1 on the player with picture maxed out on the TV. The higher you set the player's contrast the lower you can go on the TV's picture adjustment. I don't know which way is better, if it matters. The player was set to normal, fine got me closer, but wasn't enough.
I guess it doesn't help me out if I am watching HD satellite. Ideal white is only achieved with the Blu-ray player. First TV I have had to mess with a players picture adjustment for calibrating a TV.Edited by Ripper64 - 8/29/13 at 4:01pm
