Bottom line is, you don't know what kind of abuse that TV has seen.
...and who's to say it doesn't have 'damaged' pixels... did you check?
The last I knew, both Best Buy and Pauls had plenty of 65 inch VT50's.
I just picked up a 55" VT50 for $1459.
Get out there and do some homework and don't make any hasty decisions unless you get prices that have been discussed on this thread.
