Quick question on calculating speaker placement.

Using this guide

If I have a seating distance of 10' to my screen and am placing my speakers behind an AT screen, my left and right channels are at 30 degrees, that means each speaker is only 3 ft away from the center speaker?

I feel like I did my math wrong, or am I right in that the front left and front right are only 6 ft apart for a 10 ft seating distance.

10 feet from the screen means that your L/R speakers should be 12 ft apart; i.e., 6 ft away from the centre speaker to be at ±30°.

I think maybe you saw '30 degrees' and interpreted it to mean that the two speakers are 30 degrees apart from each other, when actually they should each be 30 degrees from the center line.
