I don't really know which one to buy? In terms of 3D crosstalk, sharpness and detail enhancement, which is the best for a 150inch 16:9 1.0 gain screen? The crosstalk threads on the Panasonic are scaring me.. Panasonic AE8000 is out of my price range.
I sit 12 feet away (1.1x) from the screen. Screendoor Effect is something else I'm worried about.

The HW50ES is more expensive than the 8000 isnt it? How are you able to afford the HW50 if you can't the 8000?

The Pan 8000 is about the same cost as a epson 5020. Look at Amazon, prime member shipping is almost free.

The Epson is the best as far as crosstalk. I saw none on the few movies I demoed. The Sony has some crosstalk here and there, depending on the movie. I would say the Panny is a little worst then the Sony. When it comes to 2D, hands down the Sony stomps the other two. Best would be to see a demo of them and be your own judge.

Ive demos epson and sony and owned the AE8000. The Epson has the least crosstalk, in fact its so good, i thought all LCD 3D projectors would be the same.... I was so wrong. Dont know what epson are doing, but their 3D performance in terms of crosstalk is almost as good as a DLP projector.

The sony comes second, and last and by far the worst is the panasonic AE8000. I dont know how they are legally allowed to sell such a 3D feature as its appalling. The crosstalk and ghosting can be so bad, that in movies far objects/backgrounds are all fuzzy and impossible to focus. This makes 3D racing games impossible to play as its just as mess.

The only reason i choose to keep my DLP HD33 instead of upgrading to the epson is because the epson has much softer focus and the input lag for gaming is not good at around 40 to 50ms.

The Sony has a beautiful sharp image, but i am not sure if i would be happy with its slight crosstalk now that im spoiled by my HD33 which has no xtalk at all.

The odd thing i am finding is some panasonic AE8000 claim they see no xtalk at all. And some HW50 owners say they see xtalk only on some scenes. This really confuses me as it mean different people see crosstalk differently, as on both AE8000 and HW50 i saw xtalk on every scene/frame.
