New basement theater- design software reconmendations.

Hello,

I'm just strating to finish my basement. I have about 2000 sq. feet to work with and I would like to create a plan first. Would anyone be able to reconmend go software for doing this? I need something thatis functional, but realtively easy to use. I'm a intermediate do it yourselfer and computer literate, but I probably can't handle true engineering type software.

Thanks. I had never even hear of that. I will give it a try. Easy and free are a good combination if it works good.

+1 for Sketchup.. There's a little bit of a learning curve but it does an excellent job and you can't beat the price. biggrin.gif

Yes we use sketch up daily.. Alex, one of the designers is a wiz at it so let me know if you have any questions and I will ask him to chime in.

+1 for sketchup. The more detailed you go the more gotcha's you'll catch before you start the build. Check the build thread listed in my signature for some examples.
