i saw that you got the v373 receiver and the polk cs10 center...which polks did you end up getting for the fronts? and what other pieces are you planning to add in the future? sub? rears?

I don't mean to be rude or even presumptuous about your situation but anytime I hear someone saying that they got permission from their girlfriend to spend their money I think of this humorous thread from a jeep forum...http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/96-jeep-cherokee-need-opinions-1149721/

This is what I've picked up recently that you may want to check out:

JBL Loft 30 bookshelf speakers - excellent satellites: $57 pr at Fry's. I think they're still on sale but a little more, like $77 pr. http://www.frys.com/product/7327184?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

Atlantic Technologies 2200C - really good center speaker that retailed for over $300 a couple of years ago, $69 shipped from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Atlantic-Technology-2200C-BLK-Speakers-Channel/dp/B001P05N6U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1363147128&sr=8-1&keywords=atlantic+2200c

BIC F12 - sweet sub $198 at Parts Express

The JBLs and AT 2200c were blind buys, but after getting them dialed with EZset/EQ on my HK AVR-1700, I have been pleasantly surprised. The JBLs have amazing depth for their size and the 2200C is nothing short of astonishing, though it took some time to get them dialed. I had to experiment with the control switches on the back that will customize the speaker to your room conditions and although they're not broken in, still sound incredible.
