Can't get video to my TV through Denon 2313ci...Help!

Hi there,

Brand new install here and I'm getting very frustrated. I cannot get video out to my TV from either my DTV DVR or my PS3 through my receiver. I can get sound through both, but no video to my Panny U50. Please help.

How are these devices connected to your receiver?

Does the Denon On Screen display work?

The DTV and PS3 are connected through HDMI cables to the Denon 2313 and then an HDMI from the AVR (monitor 1) to my TV. I don't get the on screen start up guide. Can't figure out what is going on. I changed "HDMI Control" to ON and "Control Monitor" to Monitor 1 through the GUI.

On the PS3 try setting the "Deep Color Output" setting to OFF and for the DTV box, connect the HDMI directly to the TV with optical from the DTV box to the AVR.

If you get the GUI then the Denon On screen display does work! You can go thru the setup assistant by pressing the setup button on the remote and then selecting Setup Assistant from the menu choices.

You dont' need HDMI control to be on.

What resolution is your DirecTV DVR set to? You may have to plug it in directly to the TV to change the settings.

Not sure if this helps, but wonder if you need to select the source on your Panny U50 (remote) to that of the AVR, then even recycle the AVR power if it does not work the 1st time?
