Any decent receivers for under $200?

Newbie here...I have an existing, older Harmon Kardon receiver which isn't able to process audio via HDMI, so it requires that I use a separate optical cable for each device. I want to be able to connect my iPad to the receiver via HDMI, so I'm looking for a decent replacement, under my budget of $200 (if possible.) Thanks in advance for your time and advice.

Best by has had the Harman Kardon AVR1700 on sale for $200 recently. I've heard decent things about it. The only negative that i've heard is that it does not allow you to set a passthrough when its in standby mode.

So basically, if you want to watch TV without the receiver on, you'll have to run the hdmi to the TV, and a separate analog/optical cable to the receiver.
