Another question. I have read threads on DIYSG forum and the Audio Round table and think I may not have the answer I am looking for. Toe and time alignment I have a good handle on. Height is what I can't seem to find much information on. I can only assume this means that it depends. One of my favorite answers.
So I have mocked up panels to simulate speaker height after stands and realized I had no basis for my decision other than appearance and to keep my son from ramming them with Thomas the Train. I sat back on the couch and decided I needed to make a more informed decision for the right reasons.
If I missed the answer, I apologize now. My eyes can only handle so much before all the links look the same.
My assumption is to get the WG center as close to ear level at the LP. Any direction here would be appreciated. See what I did there.
What is the protocol for height when using controlled directivity design?
P.S. Listening to the tv using the on board speakers is terrible.
I am properly motivated to get this phase in the books.
