Rechargeable AA Brand?

Thread Starter
It'd gotten about five years out of my rechargeable AA low self discharge cells and its time to replace them. What are people using these days? Eneloops are out of the question as they are so well known that they are also massively counterfeited. Tenergy? Amazon? Good old Rayovacs? I'm looking for bang for dollar here.

Also, what smart charger are we using these days? I'd like something that sits on the outlet, holds four cells, and doesn't just dumbly trickle-charge for a set 8 hours.

Thanks y'all! smile.gif

I use Sony Cycle 2000 mAh AA's. Only $8 for 4 on Amazon.

Lacrosse BC-700 charger. Don't spend more than $30 on it.

I have 5 controllers, keyboard and mouse for PC's, etc. They work great, no sign of decaying in over 3 years.

I've had good luck with this Nyco setup. Going on 3 years.

I use both Eneloops and Powerex Imedion batteries and I've found both to be great. If you're looking for best value, the Amazon batteries are reviewed very well. For the charger, go with one of the La Crosse models or Powerex makes some good ones as well.
