Hey All,
My nephews XBox Arcade is having some sound issues.. I had it hooked up using the SPDIF Connector, I then thought I'd try the HDMI and it does it on both cables the sound will just go off and no sound.. I click the Remote on the reciever and it comes on for a second but then goes right off after a second or two..
It seems to do it after running for an hour or so. The sound just completely shuts off and there have been some popping noises.. not real bad just a little pop ot 2.. I know that can NOT be a good indication or perhaps he needs to install the game to the HDD instead of running it off the disk could that cause this issue??
I tried setting the Stereo mode then Digital 5.1 it does it no matter what setting in the xBox is on..Could it possibly be the Aux1 input I am using on my reciever??
I am at a loss as to what could cause this anybody have any ideas??
EDIT: I called tech support chat and they said to clear the cache and that did not seem to fix it.. when we turned off the xBox it was making alot of popping sounds through the stereo system as it was powering down which can not be good..
I think it is fried and time for a new XBox..
