Looking for a new TV need advice :)

Hello everyone, I am shopping around for a new TV and need some advice. What I am looking for is a 24"-27" 1080p TV with no ghosting and as minimal as possible backlight bleed. 120Hz would be nice but I know it's really hard to find in smaller TVs. My budget is $300-$350. I appreciate any and all help smile.gif

32 inch Toshiba c120u good bang for the buck good picture see the cnet review
I have one in the b room excellent picture in spite of being 720p better than some 1080i sets I looked at .

$229.00 now at BB and Amazon better than all the other 32's except the Sony and Samsung
that cost a fair amount more the Toshiba was very close.
At 5-6+ ft watching TV/movies etc at that size most won't be able to tell the difference from 720 to 1080 the contrast, color and brightness and overall picture quality of the Toshiba is quite good.

If you are using as PC desktop monitor close up then
perhaps a 1080i/1080p set would be better .

Here is a Toshiba 24 inch 1080p LED set list is $299.00 on sale at Amazon $219.00

Can't say about the ghosting or backlight bleed on the 24 inch but my 32" Toshiba has none at all .

What are the main uses for this unit? I agree with the above post about the C120U from Toshiba, which is an extremely good value. But it sounds like you're more in the PC monitor realm. Especially if 1080 and 120Hz are in the "must have/would like to have" categories.

Thanks for the replies guys but I after further calibration of my LG 32LE5300 I have decided to keep on using it. The only thing I don't like about this TV is the backlight that bleeds through but it has lessened with the calibration I have been applying to it. smile.gif
