Shades

Ok I have decided to go with a simple in wall iPad as my controller. I will be running all my wires today since my walls/ceilings are open. I only have two shades that I might(in the future) want to control wirelessly. Is that possible via the iPad? I'm also asking because I would like to know what wires to run to my two windows. Where should I have them land? By the header, off to the side etc.? I think I will run 16/2 and cat 5 to each window. Thanks
