The relation between OHMS & bass ?

Hi friends:

There is a relation between the the ohms and bass.

Because i read someone hear the klipsch RF 7 II & the jbl tl 260.

And he said the klipsch bass not performe like jbl tl 260 because the jbl is 8 ohms but klipsch is 8 ohms compatible.

So what the relation between the ohms and bass...?

None. Ohms is your speakers impedance. A 4 ohm speaker is harder to drive than a eight ohm speaker. If your amp is four ohm stable, then you'll get more power from it in a four ohm speaker and it will get louder than an eight ohm speaker assuming the two speakers have the same efficiency. Efficiency is how loud a speaker gets with one watt of power applied to it. If a speaker is 88 dB/watt, then it will put out 88 dB's of loudness when you put one watt into it. If a speaker is 93 dB/watt, then it will put out 93 dB when one watt of power is put into it.

The amount of bass a speaker puts out is more dependent on driver size, cabinet design, and crossover design. Not to mention room interaction being probably the number one factor of how a speaker sounds in any given room.

ok thanks brother but small advice...

Klipsch says RF 7 II is 8 ohms compatible,,,so the output of my Amp should be ( 4 or 8 ohms .......) whats the best ohms to RF 7 II.

It doesn't matter. As long as your amp is stable to 8 ohms or lower you'll be fine.

Not sure either. Of course the jbl bass is going to sound different then the klipsh.

I dont know, klipsch and jbl are two different brand so i dont think why should they sound the same. Of course they dont.
