$1000 budget and B&W 803 Diamond? Gulp... I don't even think you can buy one Diamond tweeter by itself for under $1000.

The best speaker you can buy for $1600 per pair, IMO, is the one I have now; the Gallo Acoustics Classico CL-3. There is nothing on your list that will even come close to sounding as good.

I suggest that you read the review of them from The Absolute Sound magazine in August; it's available online.

BTW; you can try them in your home free for 60 days; is that a no-brainer or what?

Order them online or by phone and listen for a month, and if they don't blow you away (I suspect they will), Gallo pays the full cost of return shipping and gives you a full refund.

You don't spend a penny.

All the speakers he listed have built in subs, or huge woofers. I think he's looking at getting only 2 speakers for now. Makes me think he wants towers that can be played on their own and still get low. A lot of those speakers are still out of the 2k a pair price range though.

Example, the LSiM 707 is 2k each 4k a pair....

"Every thing" is very subjective. It would help if you could provide some information:

What size room do you have (cubic feet)?
How are you are going to power them?
Do you have a sub (which make/model)?
HT, music, gaming, what percentage?
If music, any genres in particular?
How loud do you listen?

If you have 2x Rythmik subs, You have 2 amps, scratch anything off your list that has a built in sub. No point paying for something that won't really do much. Scratch everything off your list that is well above 2k a pair,

Polk audio RTi A7
Martinlogan motion 40

I really don't see why you'd need a powered sub or sub drives when you have TWO rhymik subs or huge drives of the CV when you have those as well.

I think you're looking at the completely wrong lines of speakers TBH.

Thanks! The additional info helps.

That's a giant room. If you want to run them very loud, probably best to get speakers with high sensitivity that can handle a lot of power before losing composure.

Next, I saw in your other thread that big bass is important to you. If those two big Rythmiks aren't doing it for you, have you tried different locations? Subs interact with the room, and they may perform better or worse in different locations. Or is it more mid bass that you want, to keep up with the subs?

So I think the thing to do here is to get people to understand even better what you want to improve on, and I'm sure someone can help you find a good solution smile.gif

What speakers are you running now, and can you be more specific about what you want to improve upon them? That way, people can suggest things that really fit your needs.
