Yamaha RX-V473 and Harmony Remote

I am having a recent issue when I turn on my system with a Harmony Remote to watch DirecTV, I get Dolby Digital for a short period, say 5 seconds, and then the audio on the receiver switches to PCM and cuts out. If I hit HDMI2 on the Yamaha remote, it comes back and stays back. Any thoughts as to why this is happening?

Thanks,
Mark

Do you have HDMI CEC turned on? Does this happen if you manually do the same power up steps in the same order as the Harmony?

There is an HDMI setting on the Yamaha for HDMI Control which was set to 'On'. Once I set it to 'Off', the problem disappeared. What does that setting do?

It uses the HDMI handshake to control what devices are powered up and what inputs should be selected. It was making different decisions than you had programmed into your remote. Harmony usually works better than HDMI control.
