Question about adding speakers to usbpowered external pc set?

Have a cheap pair of USB-powered external speakers. 1 green 3.5 jack going to control speaker and speaker wire bridging to another speaker. Would it be possible/feasible to add a set of larger speakers bridge off of my usb powered control speaker?

Did searching and couldn't find a similar question. Thanks for your time.

Edit: When I say add speakers I mean a couple of generic stereo speakers. Red/black wire.

Sounds like an overall bad idea to me. The performance of your speakers is limited, at best, by the amount of power the amplifier in your powered speakers can draw from the USB bus, and the amplifier itself. Adding additional speakers can have one of several results depending on how you do it and the characteristics of the amplifier, including distortion and a fried amplifier.

Much appreciation for an informative post. This was somewhat the conclusion I had come to, but wanted information from someone who actually has had a hand in audio.

Thanks again.
