As long as you're seated only about 10-12' from the PJ screen, these should work well.

That sounds like a good system, as long as you don't expect it to play very loud.

Those speakers are pretty good, but not up to producing clean sound levels at very high volumes in such a large room. The subwoofer is inadequate for the room.

I would recommend larger front speakers and a larger more powerful subwoofer.

For example; a much better system would be a pair of PSB Image B6 speakers ($550), plus a pair of Image B4 speakers ( $350), and a C4 center speaker ($300).

Add a Kilpsch RW-12D subwoofer, and you will have a better-sounding and far more capable system IMO.

The system I outlined above will cost $1200 for the PSB speakers and $400 for the subwoofer, and is a much better system in every respect IMO.

Actually, I would get the speakers from Saturday Audio, which sells new PSB speakers with very minor finish imperfections and full PSB warranty for about 25% off list. That will save you at least $250 and get the price down to around $1300 or so for everything.

Amazon has trhe RW-12D subwoofer for $350.

For about the same money you could obtain a pair of Infinity Primus P163 L & R speakers and a Polk PSW 550 subwoofer and obtain far better sound and dynamic range.

When you buy Marantz you are usually paying a premium price for what you get. What would a competitive Denon-branded AVR run you?
