Hello all. I just ordered my first projector. It's the Epson 6020. I've read that the lens should be level with the top of the screen. In my theater area, the bottom of my soffit is 11" lower than the ceiling where the projector will be mounted. The top of my screen image will be about 4 inches below the soffit. I prefer to mount the projector as high as possible, which I believe would put the bottom of the projector about 9" from the ceiling, and subsequently the lens would be about 6" above the top of my screen. I know that the projector has features that allows for adjustments, but being a rookie I don't have a handle on all the ramifications. I guess what I'm asking is - can I proceed with this plan and be happy with my image? Thank you in advance for your thoughts.
