CRT direct vs. CRT Projector - Video Game Lag Time

I've read about how some gamers prefer direct view CRT televisions because of lower lag times. These older televisions do less processing versus LCD units which scale and manipulate the image before displaying it.

What is the word with CRT projectors and lag time? Does it depend on a direct connection versus using a processor in the chain? Also, are there any inputs that might work SLOWER or FASTER than others? I know HDMI has had issues with audio syncing.

Well. When you add a processor its gonna add lag. When you add an hdmi input card, it adds lag. The more you add to the chain the more lag you get.
VGA/BNC is the fastest connection you can get, resolution in resolution out. No hdcp no processing.
NOW having said all that; my chain is pc/ps3/xbox > onkyo 709 (video processor turned off) > dvdo duo (outputting 1080p60 and in game mode) > moome v2 > G90 = sub 3 frame lag.
