Hello,
Long time member and now moving on to re-do our basement. Framing is done. Wiring is mostly done and here is where the questions come:
1. LCD will be wall mounted in front but equipment rack will be in back of the room. Do I need an RF system to control this and if so, does that require any wires to be run through the walls. I'm thinking Logitech 900 or so here with RF system.
2. I will be running speaker wire, HDMI and CAT6 from back to front through the same studs. Power is already in this wall about 10" above the bottom plate. What wires can run together between HDMI, speakers, and CAT6? How far above the power do I need to be to avoid interference? By running together, I mean through the same hole in studs.
3. I'm probably going in-wall for the front and center speakers to save floor space so kids can have more area to play.
4. I'm drilling with a 7/8 auger bit to get the HDMI through the wall...any integrity issue on the 2x4's (treated) with this size bit?
Thanks, I've learned tons from this forum...greatly appreciate the advice!
