Joel, when running a 4096 point LUT cube using all the meter defaults except lowering the low light handler to 30 reads. It seems that the triplet chart and blue moving bar become out of sync and jumpy with the triplet pattern that is being displayed on my screen in the latter part of the LUT process. However from what I can tell the correct triplet is being measured, its just that the triplet chart can't keep up with what is being measured.
From just going by the dE's and charts the actual calibration looks pretty good, but I haven't viewed source martial or ran test pattern's from my S&M disc.
Maybe you are reading some Very Low Level Patterns using your meter mounted on your display's screen and you got a lot of PWM Noise at these patterns.
Try to measure adding some distance between meter-display.
30 Reads are a lot for a Plasma, It will take nearly 2 minutes to measure one color point, during that time your display will become unstable and drive into a power saving mode, reducing the panel drive luminance.
Use 10 samples or test your panel stability over the time at these low level color points with manual measure.
BTW how many total reads and time it took for a true 4096 Color Points LUT?
Do you have any report from 5/10-Step Saturation or Color Chacker, Gamma, 21p Grayscale to show us?
