You may have found an oversight in our licensing that will be fixed. We should not allow a eeColor to be treated as a ColorBox. We do a firmware/serial number check to see if it is a eeColor or a ColorBox. In any case the LUT update for the eeColor and ColorBox will be different once the next release of CalMAN 5 is out. The eeColor procedure will provide you with a LUT file you then use TruVue tools to upload. The ColorBox we write directly to memory.
But in either case once the next CalMAN 5 Enthusiasts update is out you can create and use LUT’s in either version.
Derek, why SpectraCAL for the last 2 years i'm checking, they haven't include the eeColor LUT Box at the Hardware Support
page of the official CalMAN website?
Customers that are interesting to buy from me eeColor LUT Boxes, they are asking me this, why eeColor is not available to your hardware supported lists, so they are scary to buy because they are not sure about the calibration capability of eeColor with CalMAN.
Also you have there the ColorBox which is discontinued and it's not available at your store 1 year already.
Inside CalMAN 5.x.x Sources List, in SpectraCAL Manufacturer list someone can find it under SpectraCAL - ColorBox, eeColor, but you are not the manufacturer of this device, Entertainment Experience is the company of eeColor.
These simple to fix (from you) details are taking a lot of my productivity time daily to tell all this story to any customer which is interesting to buy eeColor from me and i'm loosing energy to expain simple things, and I don't know / not sure if the customers will believe my replyes or believe your official hardware list more...
