My garage system

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd share a few pictures of my ongoing HT. I say ongoing because I don't think I can ever stop doing something or the other to it. It's not really in the garage but an attachment on the garage.

My room has gone through many many changes over the years and will continue for some time to come.

My room is roughly 15x12 but with 6" treaments all around the room it losses about 1' all the way around. The front losses about 3' So actual size would be 11x13.

All the work and ideas were from our L.A. local group and me. I am so lucky to have such a talented group of idividuals to whom with I have developed a very strong friendship over the years.

I'll start with a few pictures and then add more later.

That final size is almost the size of my room(12.5'x9.5'). Did you put 2 rows of seats in there? I would love to see more detailed pics of the room from different angles and how you have your equipment setup. BTW, what equipment are you using I.E, speakers, electronics, and what size is your screen?

Yes I have 2 rows of seats. I will take more pictures soon.

My system consists of the following:

7.1

3 front speakers are Triad Golds (powered by Halo Parasound A51)

4 surrounds are Triad Silvers (side surrounds are powered by Halo Parasound A51 and back surrounds are powered by 2 monoblock amps I have on loan from a friend)

4 passive subs are Boston acoustic 12" (powered by B&K 507 receiver so I can set individual levels for each sub)

My Processor is the Marantz AV8001

My screen is a Steward Studio Tek 100 at 110" projected by JVC RS25 with Darblet

My sources are:

Oppo 83
Xbox 360
PS3
Wi U
Dune HD media player
Direct TV

Very nice setup. At that distance, 110" must look fantastic. Marantz and Halo. That's some great gear. Along with the Triad speakers and subs, I am sure you have the entire package. Just out of curiosity, what is the distance from your first row of seats to your screen.

Wait till you check out the "black hole" carpet he has. Definitely surprised me when I first stepped in there...thought I broke my ankle for a second lol

The extra picks look great. Having that extra room for the gear really helps. I know because I don't have them and I have to put everything in one room frown.gif.

Yes having the extra room helps a great deal. I'm glad I have it but, I don't know what took me so long to take advantage of it.

I was in the same boat I had a room behind me and it took me awhile ( has to convince the wife too ) to use it. I'm glad I did though.
