I want to give more power to my Klipsch F3, will a M-80 yamaha amp connect to my yamaha rx-v1700 and push my kilpsch? Standard RCA cables from the pre-out Front, zone 2, or zone 3 out put on my receiver to the input on the M-80 correct? Im learing more and more as I go but iv never had or used an external amp. Thanks!

Use standard RCA cable to connect the FRONT pre out of the RX V1700 to the input of the M-80. With that said, I don't know if you are going to gain anything. The RX V1700 should be more than enough to drive the Klipsch F3.

Maybe I need to be looking into a different set of speakers then. The F3's sound good at mid volume but not as good at high volume...and Iv never been very happy with the bass they put out. Thanks for the reply.

If you want better bass add a subwoofer! Takes some stress off your receiver to produce the low frequencies and should reduce any muddiness your F3's may have at high volumes.

I'm using a klipsch 12" sub. The living room and kitchen are one open space with super high 22' ceiling. Takes a lot of power to sound good
