1st posting....Oppo & DTS output of Mkv2Vobd Files on a Hard Drive

Hi Guys,

Sorry about the way this is written, may ramble or go side to side & yes i am a pot smoker !



Previously posted in wrong place, but very helpful guy called Bill told me to post here...so here I am.

Had a ps3 & A Yamaha amp that played all my Dts converted files that Id made with
mkv2vob for usage on ps3

Then saw an Oppo Bd80 & A Onyko 605 amp on ebay////

Won them, updated oppo so could play HD files mkv & the like,
Now trying to play files that have DTS encoding thru oppo...

tried pcm settings & other & auto....still nowt is outputted to Onyko

anyone tip me in right direction

You should post this question in the specific thread for the Oppo BDP-80: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1219906/official-oppo-bdp-80-owners-thread

The BDP-80 unfortunately does not handle DTS-HD in mkv files. Only the 103/105 series can do this. There was a limitation in the hardware of the 80 that prohibited it.
