Turns out BestBuy had the 55LA7400 In stock all along. I guess you can't trust these people. Way back when, I returned a set to them and I had to wait until they proved to themselves the set was defective. With Amazon I can just pack it up and send it back, no questions asked. No more BBY for me.
This is the exact same thing that happened to me on Wednesday. Took 2 calls to BB corporate to convince them to price match Amazon at $1,219. They couldn't get passed the "see price in cart" step. I chose pickup at my local BB brick & mortar and waited 3 hours with no email stating it was ready. Called the store and asked, they mentioned they saw the order but it wasn't given to them yet to pull the TV. Got an email an hour later saying the tv is not at the store. The store called me back hours later to say they have the tv and I can come and purchase it that night. Took 15 minutes to convince them to price match Amazon so I could just cancel my online order.
Very long story (sorry) short, BB's own corp doesn't know what their stores have. Or, they are purposely making it a difficult process for the consumer to use their price match program.
Absolutely love the TV though!
