Why buy from an unauthorized company? From what I can tell the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal continues through tomorrow on all sizes of Samsung's F8000 model. The 75" is on sale for $5,999. Most online sellers include shipping at no charge and many do not collect sales tax. Still a high priced TV, but at least the discount is very deep so the value is good.
I assume that's what CP is referring to. I've been looking at this model and want to buy at the sale price, but it's hard to find them in stock. I prefer a plasma, but want a larger screen and this TV looks very good. Hope to snag one before this deal ends.
Can anyone recommend an authorized dealer that may have them in stock? I'd like to save the tax and get free shipping.
I understand TVs can get damaged while in-transit. I assume thousands of TVs are shipped daily and can't image a high percentage of damage. They ship from the factory to warehouses and from warehouses to stores so even if the local store delivers it to the end user it was likely shipped by various common carrier a few times before the end user gets it.
I do like the idea of any TV that is shipped to be strapped to a proper sized pallet to help protect it and for the driver to be responsible to bring the TV inside the house. Curbside deliveries worry me somewhat.
Amazon ships all of their TVs and so do many other companies. Seems like a odd suggestion.
Hey guys, I bought a Sony KDL-55W900A the other day, but figured I'd post my question here too since I was going back and forth between the two sets. Anyways, Does the PQ look terrible/sub-par just watching regular TV? I couldn't adjust the TV settings to make it look any better than some-what decent. I was pretty discouraged by this and I know cablevision/fios others only broadcast in 1080i, but is there a way to make the TV look excellent while watching Football/Soccer? I couldn't for the life of me adjust any of the settings properly to make watching TV sustainable.
