I know I said HGTV is the biggest test to do for judder but I'm beginning to think it's just that channel in general and not necessarily the TV's motion handling. Not to get off topic of the F8000 but I was at a friend's last night he has an HX850. Sony uses different terms for their motion settings but it was definitely on the highest setting. It looked great until he put it on HGTV HD. Unwatchable with all the judder! He turned down the motion to no avail. Even off was bad. Clear was the best. I had the HX950 briefly and it also had a terrible time with HGTV HD among all motion settings except Clear. Everything else was perfectly fine, even on the max motion settings. My Brother In-Law has a Sharp Set and his also only does it on HGTV among all settings but Clear, or whatever Sharp calls it. Again, nothing concrete here but it seems to me that maybe HGTV has something wrong with frame-rate that newer TV's can't handle properly without using Clear.?
